Pre- Amnesia History

Most of Flynn’s history was made when he still went by the name “Failed”

Childhood

Failed had an average childhood. Not much was known about it because he never spoke of it, he has never brought up his parents or any familial ties aside from the ones that he formed on his own

Teen

Failed, unlike his friends never went through any reckless phases as a teen. He followed rules without fail, and kept to himself for the most part

Young Adult

As a young adult Failed met Myo and the two quickly became friends, despite being complete and total opposites. Myo introduced Failed to the party scene and many nights were spent getting drunk, experimenting with drugs and a constant change of sexual partners.

It was through one of these parties that he met his first girlfriend, Taylor.

Taylor

Failed’s first long relationship was with Taylor. She was everything that he wanted to be. She was outgoing, free spirited and spoke her mind. The relationship fizzled out in time as Taylor found more exciting avenues to take

Karshia

The breakup between Failed and Taylor was a hard blow for him to take. He found comfort with his sympathetic friend, Karshia, who was also dealing with heartbreak at the time. The two of them were there to support each other and work on healing their broken hearts. Somehow in the midst of their friendship they had found that they had fallen for one another. Karshia and Failed’s relationship last significantly longer than his relationship with Taylor. He had never met anyone like her in his life, and he was completely smitten. Failed was so wrapped up in his relationship Karshia that he was blindsided when she made the decision to end their relationship.

Karshia, being a free spirit, missed her freedom and, though she loved Failed, she could no longer be herself and stay in a relationship with him.

Elixir

After the break up between Karshia and Failed, he met Elixir. She was different from the other girls he had met, and she intrigued him. She was a welcome distraction from the damage that was being done to his emotions and heart. Shortly after their introduction however, Elixir disappeared and Failed was left alone again to deal with his emotions

Post - Karshia

Without Elixir as a distraction, Failed fell into a deep and very dark depression. He had little to no motivation to wake up in the morning or even complete the simplest of tasks. All he thought about 100% of the time was Karshia, and how badly he wished to be someone different. Failed distanced himself from his family and friends for a long time, choosing solitude and his quiet apartment instead of the life he once lead.

Failed’s depression lasted 5 years.

Imprinted

Being at a loss for how to help their friend, Atreyu and Myo sought out the help of a witch doctor (for lack of better words) in an attempt to revive the Failed they once knew. Failed was extremely reluctant, but eventually agreed to be seen. Failed was advised that the reason his depression had lasted so long, and he felt the loss of Karshia so heavily was due to having Imprinted on her.

Imprinting was explained as a phenomena in which, after meeting Karshia, it became impossible for him to live his life without her. Failed learned that his emotions weren't caused by the typical heartbreak that is felt when couples breakup, but rather because he was missing a piece of him completely.

There was only one solution that could be provided to him to break the imprinting, and Failed was desperate to take it. Failed was given an elixir that completely transformed everything about him. He fell into a deep sleep that lasted a week, while all of the inner and outer wirings was transforming. Atreyu and Myo never left his side during this process. When Failed woke up he was no longer the person that he was before. Not only did he look almost completely different, but he felt different as well. Failed didn't remember anything about his relationship with Taylor, Karshia, or his brief relationship with Elixir. Failed could remember other aspects of his life, such as his friends, and sister, but had complete amnesia regarding his love life, which Atreyu and Myo were both thankful for.

Failed traded in his depression for a personality change and a new name, “Flynn”
